I'm thinking of heading down to Baggy's on Tuesday. They have a sign up saying they are going to do special things for the night: prizes, food, drink specials. I've heard they really know how to celebrate holidays, you know, in a Baggy's sort of way. Anyway, maybe I'll meet some of you down there!

    Baggy's By the Lake
    288 E 18th St
    Oakland, CA
(right around the corner from the Parkway Theater)

Some Yelp reviews so you know what your "getting into":
"Its a friendly little bar right off the lake. The drinkers there are a hodge podge of locals, regulars, trannies, passers-by...whoever, all are welcome."
"sweetheart little neighborhood bar. Any (and every) holiday is cause for uber-decor. Some holidays merit all-out buffets (we're not talking about hot dogs here, just stop by on St. Patty's if you want a taste of my meaning). This place is great for a few low key beverages & some dice."
"one time there was a drunk elderly transient with a "date" throwing a few back at baggy's. they were talking (negotiating prices) and he had enough. he said "enough of this mumble jumble" and they left. i've been in love with baggy's ever since. i also can't say "mumble jumble" enough."
